Celebrate International Mud Day at Bright Horizons at Harrison Park

By Eraina Ferguson June 25, 2024

Did you know that June 29th is International Mud Day? At Bright Horizons at Harrison Park, we’re planning a morning full of mud and play to celebrate this fun and messy occasion.

Playing in the mud offers many developmental benefits for children. It enhances creativity and fine motor skills, helps children relax, and even gives the immune system a boost. Plus, it's a wonderful way to connect with nature and let kids be kids in the most joyous and carefree manner.

Event Details:

- Date: June 29th

- Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Preparation Tips:

- Dress for the Occasion: Expect clothing to get dirty. Dress your child in clothes that are okay to get muddy. Old clothes are perfect for this event.

- Footwear: Designate shoes specifically for this event. Boots are highly recommended to keep little feet dry and protected.

- Extras: Consider bringing a towel and a change of clothes for your child to use after the event.

Mud play is not just about getting messy; it's about discovery, creativity, and fun. It encourages sensory experiences, fosters imagination, and allows children to explore different textures and sensations. Our event will include various mud activities, from mud painting to mud kitchens, ensuring every child finds something they enjoy.

Join us for a morning of muddy fun and exploration! We look forward to seeing you there and celebrating International Mud Day together. Let’s make memories and embrace the joys of childhood with a bit of mess and a lot of laughter.
