Western Wake Teachers To Be Recognized

Cary Chamber of Commerce Presents- Honor a Teacher

May 10, 2018

The Honor A Teacher program began in 1991 with just one award, the  Discovery Award, presented by the Ashworth Family. Over the last 27 years  the program has grown to include 32 awards, enabling the Chamber of Commerce to present  $32,000 to deserving Cary area teachers! Awards are sponsored by local businesses, and the sponsoring businesses are able to set certain  parameters for the school they are sponsoring, should they wish.

Over the  last few months, people have had the ability to nominate their teachers for the chance to win, and five finalists from each school go through an interview process. The interview panel at each school selects a winner, and on Monday, May 14th at Koka Booth Amphitheater the winners will be revealed!

The event is from 6-7:30pm and is free and open to the public. It is a great opportunity for the community to celebrate the amazing work our teachers do everyday.
